When do you feel alive and truly yourself?
When I inspire people with the songs I write. People regularly approach me with what my music means to them. I think that is the biggest compliment you can get as an artist. That gives such a bizarre appreciation. I can't imagine that you can ever get used to that.
What music do you currently have on repeat?
Right now I have Sabrina Carpenter's new track "please, please, please" on repeat. Such strong lyrics and good summer vibe. Also "Training Season" by Dua Lipa is still at the top of my liked tracks :)

Can you describe the moment when inspiration strikes and you start writing a new song?
If only I could, haha. Sometimes I have days where the songs just flow effortlessly within a few hours, and sometimes they just don't come at all. My phone is full of voice notes of random melody lines that I have to record myself in the middle of the night, and then never listen to again.
For which concert or festival can we wake you up in the middle of the night?
You can wake me up for any concert, as long as there's a sick band on stage. I find nothing cooler than discovering smaller, unknown bands that are sometimes even better than the biggest artists of the moment. - But wake me up for Harry Styles.
What was your favorite part of the Catwalk Junkie photoshoot?
That I could style my own fits and combine the Catwalk items with my own wardrobe. That made me feel completely myself in every outfit. Of course it was extra nice that Robin shot the images, with whom I wanted to shoot anyway.

Which item from the Catwalk Junkie collection would you like to add to your wardrobe?
The leopard look, i meannn WOW. 100% my favorite from this shoot.
What's your most memorable performance so far?
My performance for the Alzheimer Nederland concert in the Ziggo Dome last year is really my highlight so far. Singing the most personal song from my album for 17,000 people, I wouldn't have even dared to dream about that.

Looking ahead: what are you most looking forward to in your career?
I still have so much I want to make and do. A tour through the Netherlands is high on my wish list. I'm also going to focus more on writing for other artists in the coming period. In the meantime I'll keep calmly manifesting for a solo show in the Ziggo Dome one day ;)
